The past few months have been very hard for our little family. With Tim being laid off from work and me trying to work as much as possible (about 42 hours a week). Bills are piling up..i'm afraid to ask for help. I keep praying and hoping things will get better..we are making it but it is very tough. I'm thankful for the roof over our heads, the food on the table (even when its just ramen noodles sometimes) I'm so very very thankful for a wonderful amazing son and an incredible husband. I know things will get better it just takes time..I have always been one to have patience but this is hard.
I've decided that i just need to work harder than i've ever worked before to prove myself at my job. The company i work for (Grainger) is an amazing company to work for, great benefits, pretty good pay and vacation time that is unheard of now-a-days. So in order to move up i again..just have to have patience and really take on everything i can to prove myself.
this is short but i've got to get back to work
XOXO

my lesson
A dream that fades in and out
A future I'm unsure about
My fears are coming at the speed of light
I {will} be the one to win this fight
I wont let us struggle
I wont give up
I will overcome..even when it gets tough
I have learned..this is my lesson
A future I'm unsure about
My fears are coming at the speed of light
I {will} be the one to win this fight
I wont let us struggle
I wont give up
I will overcome..even when it gets tough
I have learned..this is my lesson

This is my first blog and I have so much to write about but I’ve decided to start with this...
I have really been struggling with balancing work and spending time with Tim and Landen. If it was up to me I would quit my job..start a business from home and spend every possible second with Landen and Tim..but..in this economy and with Tim being laid off from his job (again) I have to work full time (40 + hours) for the money and because of the insurance for my family. It is my dream to start an at home bakery..to make amazing cakes similar to the ones you see on the food network channel. In order for me to get my foot in the door I plan on making samples to photograph; to start a portfolio; once I do this I will start advertising my talent. Pssh..listen to me, I say talent but actually I’m unsure if this dream is going to be a reality. I love baking but to this day I have never made the kind of cakes I want to advertise. The reason being..$money$..it takes money to start buying the proper pans..baking needs..ect. And extra money, we don’t have…but someday I will achieve my dream…I’m determined.
Work Life ...
Recently at work I've been very frustrated. I know millions of woman work full time after having children..do they all find it as difficult as I do..i feel like a horrible mom with only being able to spend 3-4 hours a day with Landen during the week. I feel like its NOT OK for me to spend that little of time with him..I feel horrible. Why am i spending more time at a place that i hate when i could be spending time with my son! On the positive end, I'm so happy that Tim gets to be with Landen all day.
Landen...
Where to start?! He's growing like a weed. He is 7 mo. old already! At his 6 mo. appt he weighed 19 lbs 10 oz. and was 28 1/2 inches tall! very tall for his at-i think he at the 92 percentile-the dr. said he's the size of a 9 mo. old :-) thats our boy! hehe
Any day he should be crawling but since he doesnt know how to yet, he rolls absolutly everywhere. if he sees something he wants..he rolls to it..and quick too! one day Tim was showing me something on the computer so i sit Landen on the middle of the living room floor with his boppy behind him incase he toppled over (which is still sometimes does) well i kid-you-not..10 seconds later i looked over (the computer is in the living room too-about 6 ft from where i put Landen) well when i looked over Landen was way over to the front door! about 8 feet from where i put him! he's so quick! :-)
well this is long-thanks for reading
